There were already plenty of retreats devoted to yoga, fitness, meditation and wellbeing so I wanted to create something that went further, bringing together the different elements that shape the way we live, from our health and relationships to our identity, priorities and sense of purpose.
The idea was to create an intelligent, carefully designed residential experience that combined relevant expertise, meaningful conversation and structured reflection with the time and space to think.
That became The Invitation.
What would it take to improve the quality of our lives?
From the outset, my intention was for people to leave with more than memories of a beautiful place.
They would leave with something tangible. A deeper understanding of what matters to them and a personalised, practical plan for improving the quality of their lives.
Our mission is to empower you to improve your quality of life.
During the pandemic we worked hard to evolve our concept, reassessing how we looked at our lives, how we wanted to live, and how the concept of time related to this.
People are living longer - the old rules no longer apply.
People are recognizing they’re being parents to their parents - nobody mentioned that as part of your lifeplan before right?
It's time to rethink what retirement means to you.
It used to be a mark of success but now it's getting longer, leaving people to feel irrelevant for decades leading to a decline in physical and mental health.
Successful role models are reinventing themselves, finding purpose and building balanced life portfolios, making continued course corrections when needed.
The last few years have also shown us new possibilities, new ways of working and living.
Our professional and personal worlds are more intertwined than ever before.
and sets the stage for an incredible personal adventure to discover what a second life looks like to you.

The way we spend our lives deserves as much thought as the way we build them.
